St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Germany


The Parish comes under the UK, Europe & Africa Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, which was founded by St. Thomas, The Apostle, in AD 52.

The Parish traces back its informal genesis to the fellowship of members of the ancient St. Thomas Christians of India, who, lured by employment prospects, began to migrate to Germany in the late 1960s. Half a century later, the community has grown to include over 750 members constituting of families and students in and around Germany.

At present, Holy Qurbana is celebrated at various location across Germany, in Berlin, Essen, Frankfurt, Göttingen, Hamburg, Hannover, Ludwigshafen, Munich, Nuremberg, Paderborn and Stuttgart.
